Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Wow it's been quite a while since I did a blog post — for shame.
Well, hopefully this will make up for it.
February was the Raiders of the Rad art show over at Planet - Pulp and featured all things Indiana Jones. Since I already blew my 'Raiders' wad the previous summer with my serial style Raiders of the Lost Ark poster, I decided to go with the Temple of Doom this time.

Due to a couple of freelance gigs, I didn't have enough time to actually do a full blown painting like Raiders, so I decided to draw the individual elements then piece them together and color them in Photoshop. I really like the way it turned out and I think the ink and ink wash drawings help give it a grittier, pulp serial look to it. After all, I think TOD is definitely the "pulpiest" of the Indy movies.
Below are individual portrait drawings used to make the poster.

These totally Rock! I would totally buy these either in full or mini-sized posters for my media room / man cave.
